Podcast

Before taking this class, I hadn't been introduced to podcasting. After learning about podcasting I had the pleasure of learning about itunesU. I think that this is great. I plan to use this feature to help my students. I think this is a great way to have all students learn while being engaged in something else, multi-tasking! In the podcast that my classmates and I made, we discussed this subject and we came up with some great ideas to use this method in school and even in some low income areas. < podcast>.

Mr. Winkle Wakes

Mr. Winkle wakes is a short movie on youtube and it is a prime example of how so quickly things change in life and how education had stayed the same for 100 years. That gave me passion to change the way that my class will be taught. I strive to become an effective teacher and this means that my students will be the most important aspect of my career. Being an effective teacher to me means that I will have positive expectations for my students, be a good classroom manager, and I will be fair in all areas. I plan to use technology often and make sure that not only my students stay up to par but myself as well. I'm looking forward to working with technology in my class.

Life Long Learners

I think that as Educators one of the qualities about us should be the willingness to constantly learn. Being a life long learner ensures you as an educator that you will be able to effectively teach your students. This concept is especially important for educators because it's not just the person that is affected by it. Technology is one way to be a constant learner since it changes so frequently. I think we should keep up with the fast pace so that as educators we are being effective, not just for us but for the little minds that are depending on us to know the material.

Comments4kids

One of my favorite things to do in this course was the comments4kids. I think that it's important to acknowledge the kids and make them feel important. I enjoyed this assignment because as a student i would have been ecstatic to find that someone had commented on my blog(if I had one).

Edm310

Before I started taking the class EDM310, I was 100% technology illiterate. Now I feel that I am in some way a little more qualified to called a technology literate educator. I am looking forward to putting my new knowledge to use in a classroom. I will definitely have a class blog and maybe someday the future EDM310 classes can comment on my students.
